What CareFocusIQ does
CareFocusIQ is the all-in-one care management app for care homes, home care, children’s services, supported living and clinical teams. Carers speak their notes, managers stay inspection-ready, and owners see where money is being lost — all in one place.
How it works together
Problems surface on their own — from shifts, incidents, families and ratings.
Shift clock & live location · Live CQC rating · Care plan review prompts · Family logins with consent · Monthly staff pulse · Staff experience ↔ quality patterns · Today board
Each one becomes a single action with an owner, a deadline and the evidence needed.
CQC report → 12-week recovery · Improvement Tracker · Complaints & compliments · Career pathways
Re-checks, audits and supervision confirm it really improved.
Audits that close the loop · Audit library & risk-based scheduling · Manager approval of evidence · Supervision, induction & competency
Results land in your 90-day report and evidence pack automatically.
90-day programme · Evidence pack · Executive cross-home risk view
For carers who visit people in their own homes.
3. Your step-by-step guide
For: Carers doing morning, lunch, tea and evening calls.
What you get
Don’t worry
If you tap the wrong thing, just tell the office — every visit can be corrected. Nothing you tap can break the app.
Step 1 of 8
Open “My visits”
What you do
Sign in on your phone and tap “My visits”. Your calls for today are listed in order. The next one is marked “Next”.
How it helps you
No paper rota to carry and no ringing the office to check where you are going.
Open “My visits”
Sign in on your phone and tap “My visits”. Your calls for today are listed in order. The next one is marked “Next”.
How it helps you: No paper rota to carry and no ringing the office to check where you are going.
Tap “I’ve arrived”
When you get to the door, tap the green “I’ve arrived” button.
How it helps you: Your arrival time is saved for you. It proves you were there and on time.
Can’t get in? Tell us
If nobody answers, tap “Can’t get in”, say what happened (or tap the microphone and speak), then tap “Report missed call”.
How it helps you: The office is alerted at once, so the client is checked on and you are covered.
Tick the tasks as you go
Tick each job you do — washing, dressing, meals, medication, mobility. Tasks from the care plan are shown first.
How it helps you: You never forget a task, and nobody can say it wasn’t done.
Tap how they are feeling
Tap a face — Happy, Content, Anxious, Low and so on. Add what they drank.
How it helps you: Changes in mood or drinking are spotted early by the team.
Speak your notes
Tap the microphone and say how the visit went. It is written down for you. You can check it before saving.
How it helps you: No typing on a small screen in the car.
Worried? Flag it
Tap “I have a concern about this client” and say what worried you.
How it helps you: The office sees it straight away. You have done the right thing and it is recorded.
Tap “Complete visit”
Confirm the home is left safe and secure, then tap the big “Complete visit” button.
How it helps you: Your leaving time is saved, your hours are counted and the next carer can read your notes.
Print a guide for the staff room, or send the link so carers can read — or listen to — the steps before their first shift.
